Dr. V. A. Chobotov, the editor and co-author of the third edition, has more than 40 years of industrial and teaching experience in dynamics and orbital mechanics. He is also an author and co-author of several other publications. He is an Associate Fellow of AIAA and a member of the International Acadmey of Astronautics. Currently, Dr. Chobotov teaches at UCLA and offers courses at the Aerospace Corporation.
